Saor is a young friesian foal book stallion, imported from the Netherlands. He was born 01/5/2005 He is currently  15.2hh, he has the classical build of both his sire and dam.

His sire is the good looking stud book stallion Wierd 409 He stands at 15.875hh. His dam is a stud book mare Evita fan it Pomplebled, imported from the Netherlands. She stands at 16hh His motherline studbook, ster, ster preferent, ster preferent.

Saor has an amazing temperament. He has been started using natural horsemanship methods and is Sharon's riding horse. After only 3 rides he was enjoying trial rides through the Otway Ranges along with mares and geldings. He is a dream to train and is now helping in the training of our young horses.

Saor can be floated with mares or  colts and is ridden bareback and in a halter when brought up to serve mares. Saor will not be seen in the dressage arena for some time as the studs interests are focused on natural horsemanship training, demonstrations and clinics. This is not to say that our horses are not suited to dressage, as all of our horses are by well performed stallions, including stallions competing Grand Prix on the European circuit.

Saor's first foal arrived this year and we are delighted with their beautiful heads, correct conformation, straight legs, great action and wonderful affectionate temperaments. Saor is a dream come true for Gramayre Stud, a stallion with looks, correct conformation, wonderful straight elevated movement and a superb nature that has stolen our hearts.
